Termites in Holland Park

Holland Park is a suburb of Brisbane, that is situated approximately 8 km south of the Brisbane central business district. Holland Park is an older suburb made of largely post-World War II wooden homes. In fact over 89% of dwellings are older style houses.

Surrounding suburbs include Greenslopes, Coorparoo, Carina Heights, Mount Gravatt East , Tarragindi and Holland Park West. These well established areas seem to supply our business with loads of termite enquiries and treatments.

This lowset cavity brick home had suffered termite damage to the floor boards and required treatment prior to flooring being replaced.

This short video shows termites that were found in a nest under a tree stump beside the home.

Rule No. 1.

Remove all tree stumps from your yard as our most common termite schedorhinotermes sp. loves to nest in dead tree stumps.  The photo above shows a termite nest that was found beside this Holland park home under a dead tree stump. Stump removal is important!

Termite workings are seen under this Holland Park bathroom.

Poor ventilation and plumbing leaks encourage termite activity.

Termites have eaten out the timber formwork under the concrete bathroom floor and several floorboards in the entry area behind the bathroom.  This home had all three issues to cause termite issues!

We treated this  home successfully with Termidor.
